Mark Weinstein
Dr. Weinstein was born and raised in New Jersey. He graduated with honors from the University of Chicago where he double-majored in Geophysical Sciences and Biological Sciences. He went on to obtain his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School, now known as Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. After medical school, Dr. Weinstein completed residency training in Pediatrics at New Jersey Medical School. He then obtained fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at New Jersey Medical School, where he also served as Chief Fellow and President of the Residency Council.
Dr. Weinstein has been recognized for his research in the field of urticaria (hives), receiving the prestigious Clemens von Pirquet award from the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology in 2008. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Weinstein has also presented research on the impact of climate change on pollen levels in the New York Metropolitan area at the national meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. In 2013, Dr. Weinstein was elected president of the New Jersey Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society, completing his term in 2015. Dr. Weinstein continues to teach future doctors and allergists as an Assistant Professor at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.
